My latest creations feature atmospheric drones, beats in flux, jazz influenced modal harmonies, rhythmic noise, complex polyrhythms, rich textures, and acoustic instruments blended into electronic soundscapes. I especially enjoy building complex works from the fewest possible building blocks. For example, I will compose a piece using sounds coaxed from a single sample or with sounds designed with a single synth. Sometimes I use a severely restricted number of instruments or tracks to see how much sound can be generated from so few sources. I enjoy writing lush, dreamy soundscapes where bits and pieces come and go, but I also thrive on noise, dissonance and distortion, sometimes all at the same time.

In short, my new music is minimalist and electronic with aleatoric (use of chance elements) and ambient tendencies. I typically begin each work with a musical algorithm and an improvisation. The algorithm brings order to the creation process, providing a unique yet solid foundation, while the improvisation adds emotional power. My favorite algorithms use aleatoric processes, which bring endless variety to even the simplest musical palette.

My influences include John Cage, Miles Davis,Terry Riley, Philip Glass, Robert Fripp, Brian Eno and Trent Reznor.
